Trackwork
It had been about a month since I put on my track shoes, Ghosts, and it felt great! Race-pace running for a 5k this weekend, so 5 x 1000m with 400m recoveries. I’ll post the warmup, recoveries and cooldown separately. I ran the first interval strictly by effort and thought I would hit 5:05, maybe 5 even, so I was very surprised to see 4:53 on the watch! I thought, maybe that was the right effort but I won’t know until the 5th one. Then I ran 4:49, 4:45, 4:50 and 4:43! My lungs were on fire but no pain in the legs or feet, so I’ll take it.
